Dow Bursary
The Dow Bursary was created by the will of Peter or Patrick Dow of Balmyle. The bursary provided two bursars with £10 annually for four years, with preference for former pupils of Kirkmichael school in Blairgowrie. Following these four years, a new competition was held and two new bursaries were awarded. The trust’s executors included Patrick Small Keir of Kindrogan, a member of a Perthshire landowning family.
