Beath Bursary
The Beath Bursary was established in 1881 by the will of Margaret Beath (c.1794-1879). This fund amounted to £1,000 for two bursaries, which were to be given to meritorious students at St Mary’s College.
In the 1890s, there were two bursaries worth about £18 each, tenable for up to three years. The fund remains active.
