Valentine Bursary
The Valentine Bursary was established in 1898 by Ronald Crauford Munro Ferguson and his sister Alice Luttrell, in memory of their deceased sister (Emma) Valentine Munro Ferguson (1864-1897).
Ronald Ferguson funded the bursary by conveying to the University Court the annual feu-duties of certain subjects in Fife, which amounted to an annual value of £25. The bursary was to be awarded to students coming from areas of Scotland associated with the Munro Ferguson family: Raith in Fife, or Novar in Ross-shire. The Valentine Bursary funds are now merged into the Lapsed Bursaries fund.
